Hello,

If you’re reading this, you’ve likely used Shawi for your laundry at some point. Thank you for that—truly. Every order you entrusted to us helped build who we are today.

We want to be upfront with you, no corporate jargon.

When we started Shawi, the idea was simple: connect people like you with reliable local laundromats. And it worked. But along the way, we learned something that completely changed our perspective: the biggest problem for laundromats wasn't getting more customers—it was lacking the digital infrastructure to serve them well. They didn't have their own websites, a way to receive organized orders, or a system to coordinate deliveries without relying on third parties.

So, we made a decision: instead of continuing to act as an intermediary between you and your laundromat, we became the infrastructure that gives every laundromat its own digital channel—its own site, online ordering, and delivery logistics. Direct, with no middleman.
What does this mean for you, specifically?

‍On August 14, 2026, we will discontinue service through Shawi. You will no longer be able to request your laundry services here.

Over the coming weeks, your laundry provider will be setting up their own digital channel using Shawi technology—their own website, online ordering, and delivery logistics. Doing this right takes time, and we would rather take that time than launch something half-baked.

Starting in October 2026, your laundry provider will be able to receive your orders directly through this new technology—the same type of experience you are used to, just directly with them, without an intermediary.

Between August 14 and October, the best way to continue requesting service is to contact your laundry provider directly through their own channels (phone, personal WhatsApp, or however you usually reach them). If you don't have that contact information, write to us and we will be happy to help you find it.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help you with something as everyday as clean clothes. This is just the beginning—and we are even more excited about what comes next.
Thank you,

Julia, Naela, Berely y Poncho
